Wearing high heels in a hospital not a good idea. :) Although the kitten heels looked cute - blisters for tomorrow not so cute. So I picked up a few options over the weekend at Nine West.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope that you all had a lovely Easter weekend. We had a great time! Friday, my hubby and I celebrated our 6 months being married - I can't believe how quickly it flew by. We watched Across the Universe - I really liked (being a Beatles fanatic) and my hubby slept through most of it. Saturday was spent celebrating my hubby's 30th birthday, I think he's still in shock. :) I got all of our friends together for a surprise dinner at Aqua Blue in Alpharetta. It was delicious and were so accommodating. We spent our Easter day relaxing before my first day on Monday! I am so excited to really get into my job! Monday and Tuesday were orientation days, so tomorrow is technically my first REAL day on the job. Wish me luck. :) It's a perfect place for me.....except for the dreaded Atlanta traffic! Argh! I've got my first day outfit all planned out - black twin set, my new herringbone pants, pearls and black kitten heels with cute tassels on them. I'll definitely let you guys know how it goes in the next few days.

Oh and thanks to my cuz for buying me some of my body wash, so thoughtful. Love you cuz! xxx

So, I'm distraught. Don't worry things are still going well at the L house and today IS my last day before I start my new job (yea), but I am almost out of my favorite body wash. And Bath & Body Works has DISCONTINUED it. I got hooked on it in college when my roommate worked there and it's still my favorite. It's the Breath Calm Soap Free body wash. I love it. I've already emailed B&BW (I know pathetic, but I'm desperate!) and I haven't heard back yet.



Any suggestions???? I've thought about Ebay, but I'm still stuck in the stone age in regards to that and I am so scared of getting scammed!

Weekend Recap

So what a crazy weekend of weather we had here in Georgia. Definitely made for an interesting St. Patty's day. A tornado hit the downtown area of Atlanta on Friday. I believe it's going to cost the city nearly 150 million dollars to repair some of our landmark buildings.A girlfriend of mine that lives a few blocks from the Phillips Arena still has no power! Awful, and so scary. My hubby and I bought tickets for Park Tavern's Luckyfest for Saturday, but we never arrived until 6:30 p.m. due to the weather. Still fun, but the grounds were so muddy! We spent much of Saturday in basements! :) Kind of scary, but luckily (maybe luck of the Irish) kept us safe. My thoughts are for sure with the families that endured the brunt of the storm.

On a brighter note, my Mum and I went outlet shopping today and it was a success! Thanks to everyone for their help coming up with some outfits for my new job! I picked up some great new things, but since they're outlet I can't find any pics. Here's the rundown: I got some cute seersucker dress pants from J.Crew, a black and ivory twinset from GAP, a couple of cable knit sweaters from Ralph Lauren and some gorgeous herringbone trousers from Ann Taylor. My Mum and Dad surprised me with a new leather work bag from Coach. Can't wait to use it!

So, let the countdown begin! T minus 5 (work) days to go! Yea! :)

I just saw this picture on People.com and it's gotten me so excited for the new season! Oh so Audrey of you, Blair! Does anyone know when the show comes back? There are only so many more episodes of Celebrity Apprentice that I can take (my Wednesday 9pm temporary filler)!

Hello strangers!

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes for my new job. I am so excited and for the first time in my life, I can't wait to go to work! It took some time, but it was definitely worth it. I'm not going to go into specifics for safety reasons, but I am going to be working as a special events coordinator for a children's hospital. A little background, this is what I studied in college and did for my internship, so it's really exciting to be following my original career path again!

Giving my notice was definitely challenging. I've been here for so long and we're in the middle of our busy season, but I knew that I had to do what was best for my husband and me. I won't be travelling anymore, no more extended hours, and no more complaining about hating my job! :) That in itself will be a relief for him I'm sure.

So, Kristy (hope that you don't mind that I linked to you :) ) asked me if I'd thought about my outfit for my first day - of course, I'm panicked already that I don't have enough to wear! :) At my current job, it's SUPER casual since I only see 2 people everyday and while travelling I have a uniform. So it's exciting to get to go shopping again, but ladies you know how it is, we never have enough options!

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've hit up all of the obvious - J.Crew, Ann Taylor, etc. - but I'm just so overwhelmed by how expensive everything is right now with the new season coming! I've never said that before when it comes to clothes, I guess there's a first for everything!

Or do any of you have any wardrobe staples that you own and wear all of the time? Something you just couldn't live without. Let me know, I'd love to hear all of your suggestions.

Oh, and I've been hard core addicted to 2 shows so far this year - American Idol and Lipstick Jungle! Yup, I've chosen Lipstick over Cashmere. There of course are a few flaws here and there, but I'm such a sucker for "the pretty" when it comes to TV. That's what I call it - pretty people, wearing pretty clothes, and living in pretty digs - with a little sprinkle of drama. Gossip Girl has the same affect on me! Oh that sounds so superficial...... :)

Oh and who are you're favorites for AI? My choices have been changing so much but my 2 faves are Brooke White and Jason Castro. Being a major Beatles fan, I so enjoyed last nights show. Thoughts?
