Yea for Holiday Shopping

I have to share my love for the sweater that I am wearing today. I know that I should be shopping for others since the holidays are coming up - but this new GAP sweater is fabulous. It's super soft (I would love a blanket made of this material), flattering (not too tight on the waist) and has a grosgrain ribbon bow on back. So cute! I have it in ivory, but I'm thinking I need it in black too. And it can be work with so many things. Today I'm wearing it with black pants, long pearls and my herringbone heels - but it would look really cute with jeans too.

Here's a shot of the back:

Perfect for Football Weekends

So maybe I'm a little behind on the times - but how cute are these Vineyard Vines Collegiate Totes? They haven't made one for my school yet, so I'd go with the Georgia version right now.

The Magic Dress

I was inspired to buy the dress to the left after reading about it on Miss Puttin' on the G.R.I.T.S' blog. I always try to secretly sneak a peak at her blog while I'm at work, and I get caught every time since I laugh out loud pretty much every time I read! Miss Grits had mentioned all of the compliments that she had received and great things that had happened while she was wearing it and I thought that I needed to try it out for myself!

It was no easy to find this dress - online and every Banana Republic store in the Atlanta area was out of the black one in my size. However, one of the girls at my local BR store checked around for me and found one! And it fit like a glove. The great thing about it is, it's flattering for all kinds of body types. Flat chested (check), big busted, big hips, pear shaped, hour glassed, whatever frame you are- it would work on anyone.

Well, it was totally worth it and Miss Grits was not exaggerating. Good things come to those that wear that dress. I've worn it a couple of times - to my bosses for our Thanksgiving celebration (it expands well) and out for a baby shower (my girlfriends love the ruffles) - and I have only received rave reviews from my friends and admirers alike!

Thanks again for the heads up! And please keep the suggestions coming, Miss Grits! :)

Halloween Costume

Here is my Halloween costume from the hospital - we were Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. It came out really cute. We wore brown sweatpants and sweatshirts inside out and furry black slippers. I was Mama Bear, so I got to wear my favorite pair of pearls and my Williams-Sonoma apron. We had so much fun! But as you can tell by the nasty shine on my forehead (gross), it was so hot wearing a heavy pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt all day!

Thank goodness I pluck, could you imagine if my eyebrows really looked like that? Eww.

Happy election day everyone! :)
