Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! I am so excited to have my very first trick or treaters. My hubby and I just moved into our neighborhood last March, so I have no idea what to expect. I hope I have enough candy! I am saving my horrible Jackie Kennedy costume for Saturday, and wearing an orange top, my favorite Ann Taylor sweater and my witch hat to hand out candy. I tried to be creative last night and put faux spider webs on my harvest door wreath, but all it did was ruin it! So I guess we'll wait until the Halloween party on Saturday to go crazy with decorations. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Halloween!

My New Found Love for Dancing with the Stars
A little Backround info, If you read 50 facts about me you would know that I love pretty much everything about the Spice Girls. I first fell in love with them in the summer of 7th grade when Wannabe came out, and it snow balled from there. So, yeah, I love them. Their
music, energy, humor-everything!
Now this is real devotion. Over the years, I could not believe how many people were watching Dancing with the Stars. I know coming from a person who loves the Spice Girls, but it really was a little over the top cheese for me. Come on, Joey Laurence? Mario Lopez? I loved Blossom and Saved by the Bell, but come on? Then, this season, Mel B was on it and I couldn't help myself. Slowly but surely, it has sucked me in and I can't stop watching Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm! My hubby is even watching it and I catch him smiling and laughing during the show (it could be the hot dancers though, I haven't figured that one out yet.) But who are we???? Addicted to Dancing with the Stars? Who would have thought!

I love Halloween. I am such a sucker for all of the costumes, candy and decorations. Being my first Halloween as a married woman, decorating in a fall decor with Halloween accents has been so much fun! This coming weekend my hubby and I are having a Halloween get together at our house, and I am so excited!! However, we tested out our Halloween costumes over the weekend at a party, and I was so disappointed in how my costume turned out. Like all preppy girls, I have had a fascination with Jackie Kennedy since I was little. So I thought, how cute would it be for me to dress up like Jackie Kennedy, and my husband to dress up like JFK? However, with the craziness of my wedding and then my girlfriend's wedding 2 weeks later, I never had time to shop around for a great costume. So I found one on amazon.com that I thought looked decent. Of course the most important part is the pillbox hat, and this included one so I went for it. What a let down!! The material was cheap, it is HUGE and my pillbox hat looked more like a jewish yamaka. And the day of the party, my husband decided that he didn't want to dress up like JFK, and went out to a thrift store to find his costume, refusing to tell me what he was going to be. Here's the conversation that we had by phone:
CAL: Sweetie, what size do you think that I would wear in women's shorts? A size 6?
LSL: I'm sorry, what? Women's shorts? Why?
CAL: Could I fit in a women's size 6? That's all that I am revealing.
LSL: You're not dressing up as a village person are you?? Please tell me you aren't dressing up as a gay sailor.
So on Saturday after attending my girlfriend's adorable baby shower, I came home to my hubby dressed up as a 1970's pro tennis player. Phew! He looked great, wearing a Wilson sweat band and everything! He looked great and I was really proud of his creativity. He was a big hit at the party. Strangely enough, my friend's boyfriend dressed up as a sailor with short cut off shorts.....
Oh, and one more thing. Go Dawgs!

Stone Mountain Highland Games 2007
This weekend is the 35th Annual Stone Mountain Highland Games. And we will definitely be in attendance! Being of direct Scottish descent, we always make an appearance! For anyone that is Scottish, or wants to pretend to be Scottish, it's a great way to celebrate our heritage and have fun too! The Pictures are in!!
So, I know that people don't usually show their face in their blog, but I couldn't help it! I got my wedding pictures back and I love them. Here's just one of the many beautiful pictures that my amazing photographer took. Her name is Laura Stone with ArtStar Photography and I can not say enough about her. 50 Things About Me
I've seen these on other blogs and they seem like a great introduction. Here goes nothing.....
1. I am a 24 year old Capricorn.
2. I was born and raised most of my life in Georgia. I love the south.
3. I am the oldest with 1 younger sister, whom I adore.
4. My parents were high school sweethearts.
5. I have a Bachelor's degree majoring in Communication.
6. While in college I was in a sorority, but it wasn't as much fun as I had imagine.
7. My husband and I met at a mutual friend's house on Christmas Eve. He claims that he knew he was going to marry me from the moment that I walked through the door. True or not, it makes a great story. :)
8. We dated for 7 months and then he proposed. We were engaged for 15 months.
9. My husband i s Mr. Outdoorsman. He loves to hunt, fish, bike-if it's outdoors, he does it.
10. My husband lived in Colorado for 10 years before moving back to Atlanta for his job (and me.)
11. We have 2 dogs- 1 is a german shorthaired pointer named Trico and the other is a pointer-lab mix named Cash. Trico is named after a fly you use for fishing and Cash is named after one of our favorite performers Johnny Cash.
12. I love pizza. I would eat it almost everyday if I could.
13. My very favorite band is Travis. One of the members actually went to my Mum's high school in Scotland. (30 years later, but who's keeping track.)
14. I love almost every song that the Beatles wrote.
15. George Harrison is my favorite Beatle.
16. I love a lot of movies, but one of my favorite movies is Breakfast at Tiffany's. I love Audrey.
17. I usually wear the same pair of pearl stud earrings every day.
18. I worked at the GAP for almost 4 years in college. All of my jeans are folded as if they were in the denim wall in the store.
19. When I go to Starbucks, I either get a hot or cold Caramel Macchiato.
20. I just bought my dream car a few months ago. A silver VW Jetta. I love it.
21. I am absolutely terrified of heights.
22. My little sister could be the funniest person that I know.
23. I wear 2 perfumes, Ralph Lauren Romance and Victoria's Secret Heavenly. I chose my perfume based on what I am wearing.
24. I love the song, "Melissa" by the Allman Brothers.
25. But the song that my husband and I dance to is also a favorite of mine, "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney.
26. I love anything with polka dots.
27. Majority of my family lives in Scotland. I miss them all so much.
28. I could monogramm my whole house.
29. I really want to cut my long hair and get bangs, but my husband likes it long so I'll keep it for a little while longer.
30. Nothing bugs me more than dishes left in the sink or next to it.
31. I love tulips. They are my very favorite flower.
32. I love everything about Jackie Kennedy Onassis.
33. I could watch Friends and Sex and the City reruns all day long.
34. I love watching HGTV. My favorite shows on there are Design to Sell and House Hunters.
35. In fact, I would love to take the host of House Hunters job (love Suzanne Wang).
36. My husband and I may be having home buyers remorse. We live in a suburb of Atlanta, but ultimately the kind of job that I am desperate for is in the city. Some day.....
37. While my now husband was living in Colorado, I was almost refusing to move there. But I would pick up and move to New York or London in a heartbeat. There was too much outdoor activity out there for me. Kidding....
38. I love any drink with Bailey's in it.
39. I am in love with my fine china. It's Vera Wang Vera Lace.
40. If I could, I would wear my Sperry's or rainbow flip flops everyday to everything.
41. I must admit, I love Facebook but I hate MySpace. I don't know why, but MySpace freaks me out.
42. I love SEC football, but the college that I graduated from doesn't even have a football team. I lived vicariously through my friends at UGA. Go Dawgs!
43. I am both a daddy's girl and a mommy's girl. They are both awesome.
44. Thanksgiving could be my favorite holiday of the year. I look forward to my mum's cooking all year long.
45. I would love to own my own little shop someday.
46. I get told that I remind people of Charlotte from Sex and the City. In fact my doctor stopped me in the middle of my physical and told me.
47. My dream vacation spot is Paris, France. I studied french for 8 years and I have never been to Paris! Quelle horreur!!
48. I could spend thousands at J. CREW. I love nearly everything that they make.
49. I love Bath and Body Works hand soap. My favorite is coconut lime verbena.
50. Last but not least, and it's a confession, I love the Spice Girls! I register for tickets and I'm thinking about travelling to New York just to see them! Great excuse for a vacation. :)
